Welcome Back, Hornsby Jaguars!
Dear Hornsby Elementary School Families, Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community Partners,
Welcome to an exciting new school year at W. S. Hornsby Elementary School! As we open our doors for another year of learning, growth, and success, I am thrilled to welcome back our returning Jaguars and extend a special welcome to those joining our Hornsby family for the first time.
This year, our focus will be centered on three key areas that drive student success:
📚 Academics – We are committed to providing high-quality instruction that challenges, inspires, and empowers every learner. Our goal is to ensure that each student makes meaningful academic growth while developing the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
✅ Attendance – Everyday matters! Consistent attendance is essential to student achievement. We encourage all students to be present, on time, and ready to learn each day so they can take advantage of every opportunity for success.
⭐ Behavior – Positive behavior creates a positive learning environment. We will continue to teach and celebrate respect, responsibility, kindness, and leadership as we work together to build a safe and supportive school culture.
Throughout the year, Hornsby will host many exciting events that celebrate both academic excellence and student achievement. From literacy nights, STEM activities, family engagement events, school-wide celebrations, and community partnerships, there will be countless opportunities for our Jaguars to shine.
